INDEV308 Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship

This course uses a social innovation lab model to have the entire class work through a single local “Wicked Problem” over the course of a term. Students map the system based on their own research, design alternative visions of the system and develop prototypes that can be used to test their ideas in the real world. Each term a different Wicked Problem will be approached, and each involves the integration of values from different perspectives, scientific and technical know-how, good judgement and empathy. The course has reserved spots for International Development and Environment & Business students but is open to all with instructor permission.
