Information technology is impacting most people in the world. Globalisation, the functioning of democracy, the environment, the gap between rich and poor, the nature of work, health and education are all influenced by our application of information technology. Questions around power and privacy and the possible ways that the internet may change the way that we think are frequently debated and discussed. The decisions that our societies make on how we apply information technology in these areas will determine the quality of the lives that people will have. This course is intended to help you better contribute to how information technology will impact the world in the future, in your workplace and community.
